Shavers Fork of the Cheat River is situated in the Allegheny Mountains of eastern West Virginia, USA

It was traditionally considered one of the five Forks of Cheat and its upper reaches constitute the highest river in the eastern United States.

Bowden Hatchery was built in the early 1960’s by the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The WV DNR took over operation and ownership of the hatchery on July 1, 1997.

Blackwater Falls State Park is located in the Allegheny Mountains of Tucker County, West Virginia, USA. The centerpiece of the park is Blackwater Falls, a 62-foot cascade where the Blackwater River leaves its leisurely course in Canaan Valley and enters rugged Blackwater Canyon
